In GymAI, access starts from the client’s side. Your clients will grant you access; you will never request it from the system. The trainer side is specified in full and being built.
How the GymAI personal trainer app side will work
- You will see and adjust exactly what a client has handed you.
- The client will be able to withdraw that access in one move.
- Your plan will be built on what they actually lifted, not on a PDF written once and never updated.
You will see what a client handed you for as long as they leave it handed over, and not a moment longer.
What your client’s side will look like
The app for people who train is coming with the first release. After each set it will ask Did you manage it?, with answers such as Could have done more or Did exactly that. Weight and reps will come from the person’s own history, not a template. Every change will carry a sentence naming the set that caused it, and the progress screen will show the numbers behind each trend, including the weeks that did not happen. Logging, rest timing and the plan will work offline and reconcile later. The engine is built and tested; the exercise imagery is not in yet.
When a client hands you that history, you will be working from real sets rather than from memory or a weekly message.
Why this helps you
Your clients stay in control of what they share. And you will never be holding data you did not need, which is one less thing to worry about.
It also fixes a familiar gap. Your client’s gym, trainer, physio and dietitian do not talk to each other: the trainer sends a PDF, the physio hands over a sheet of paper nobody at the gym sees, and the gym app opens the door and knows nothing about training. GymAI is being built to join that chain, with each professional seeing only what the client chose to hand them.
What stays sealed
Some of a client’s information is sealed with a key only the client holds, with no recovery copy and no operator key: body measurements, pain history, missed-session reasons and custom activities. Nobody at GymAI or the gym can read those. Training history, the sets and weights, is not sealed that way; it is protected by access control, which is what will decide whether you see it.
A public listing, only if you want one
Trainers will be able to appear in a public directory. That listing will sit behind two switches, yours and ours, both off by default, and it will never be turned on by an upgrade or a migration.
Frequently asked questions
Can I request access to a client’s training?
No. Clients will grant access; you will never request it. Talk to your client, and they will hand over what they choose.
What happens when a client withdraws access?
It will take them one move, and from then on you will no longer see what they had handed you.
Will it cost anything to start?
Both sides, people who train and people who offer services, will start free.
The trainer side of GymAI is specified in full and being built, and GymAI is not open yet.
Join the waiting list as a personal trainer and we will write to you when it opens.
