On GymAI, people who train somewhere can describe that place: where it is and what machines it has. That is how the map fills up quickly. It also means your gym listing can appear before anybody from your gym has signed up, described by the people who train there.
Why that is good news
Members are already telling others what your gym has. Once you claim the record, what the gym publishes about itself outranks what users contributed. You go from being described to doing the describing.
A listing written by members is a starting point, not the final word. They may have missed a machine, picked the wrong maker, or left out a service. None of that is a problem once you take the record over.
Why an accurate gym listing matters
A member who says I train here gets that gym’s exact equipment, and their plan stops offering machines the gym does not own. If the listing is wrong, the plan is wrong too. Getting the machines right, from a vocabulary of 794 equipment types and 139 makers, means members get plans that work on your floor. The services, from changing rooms and showers to step-free access and bicycle parking, help people decide whether your gym suits them.
What to do
- Search for your gym when you create your free account.
- Claim it with an email at your website’s domain. A person checks the claim.
- Correct and confirm the machines, services and the pin on your door.
- Keep it current with one press when nothing has changed.
If your gym is not listed yet, you add it yourself and place the pin. Either way it is the same free account, whether you run one gym or a chain.
What claiming involves
Start from Start here — is your gym already listed? and choose This is us. Give your gym’s website and an email address at that domain; free mail providers are refused. Type back the eight-character code we send, which works once, for 24 hours, with five tries. A person then checks the claim, usually within a few days. The wording never calls the result a verified owner, because an email proves control of a domain, not of a building.
After you take over
When nothing has changed, All of it is still right dates the record in one press, and How current it is marks the oldest part so you know what to check. A chain describes each site separately, and Records you keep lists them with the oldest confirmation first.
Frequently asked questions
Does taking over the listing cost anything?
No. The gym account is free, with no trial and no end date.
Will I see which members added or chose my gym?
No. The gym account is never told who chose it: no names, no counts, no visits.
What if somebody else claims my gym later?
You are emailed and have 14 calendar days to object. A later objection still counts until a person decides, and a record never changes hands on a date alone.
Get there first
GymAI is not open yet, and the first centres on the list are the ones that form the map. Read what the free gym account includes, then add your gym to the waiting list.
